Haiya Hails TNM’s 18-Year Sponsorship, Urges Continued Support for Malawian Football

Football Association of Malawi (FAM) president Fleetwood Haiya has commended Telekom Networks Malawi (TNM) for its 18-year sponsorship of the country’s elite football league, describing the partnership as a major pillar in the development of Malawian football.
Haiya said TNM’s long-standing support contributed significantly to the growth, stability and professionalisation of top-flight football, adding that the football fraternity remains grateful for the company’s commitment and professionalism over nearly two decades.
Although TNM’s sponsorship of the premier league has come to an end, Haiya stressed that FAM views the move as a transition rather than a complete withdrawal from the sport.
He said the association plans to present TNM with a commemorative cup as a token of appreciation, while leaving the door open for the company to remain involved in football in other capacities.
Haiya added that if TNM chooses to continue supporting the game, FAM is ready to ensure the company continues to gain strong value from its investment, potentially even more than before.
