MDF Lionesses Football Club forward Sabina Thom has completed a move to Phoenix Academy Marrakech Women’s Football Club of Morocco on a two-year contract.

 The talented striker leaves MDF Lionesses after impressive performances that made her one of the standout players in women’s football. Her move to North Africa marks a big step in her career and gives her a chance to test her skills on the international stage.

Sources close to the deal say Phoenix Academy Marrakech were impressed by Thom’s pace, finishing, and work rate, which convinced them to secure her services on a long-term contract.

Speaking after the move, Thom expressed excitement about the new challenge, saying she is ready to learn, grow, and represent Malawi with pride abroad.

Her transfer is also seen as a positive sign for the development of women’s football in Malawi, as more local players continue to attract interest from clubs outside the country.
