Nyasa Big Bullets celebrate winning the castle challenge cup

FCB Nyasa Big Bullets made history by winning the 2025/26 Castel Challenge Cup after defeating Goshen City Dedza Dynamos 2–1 in an exciting final played at Bingu National Stadium on Saturday. The victory saw Bullets become the first team to lift the trophy twice, marking a significant milestone in the club’s domestic success.

The first half ended without goals as both sides played cautiously, with Dynamos showing strong defensive discipline. Bullets forward Hassan Kajoke looked dangerous early on and nearly opened the scoring in the 11th minute, but his chance went narrowly wide, keeping the contest level heading into the break.

Bullets finally broke through in the 57th minute when Kajoke took advantage of confusion between the Dynamos goalkeeper and defender to calmly score into an empty net. He doubled the lead in the 82nd minute from the penalty spot after being brought down inside the box. Dynamos responded quickly, with Chikondi Mbeta Jr pulling one back in the 87th minute after a defensive mistake gave his side renewed hope.

The closing moments were tense as Dynamos pushed hard for an equaliser. A powerful free kick from Lughano Kaira looked destined for goal, but goalkeeper Innocent Nyasulu produced a crucial save to protect Bullets’ lead. The final whistle confirmed a 2–1 victory, with Kajoke’s brace and Nyasulu’s heroics sealing a historic triumph for the champions.
