Henry Leads NBM Women’s Premiership Player of the Season Nominees

 Silver Strikers Ladies striker Deborah Henry is the frontrunner for the NBM Women’s Premiership Player of the Season award after a sensational campaign.

Henry netted an impressive 24 goals in 18 games, claimed six Player of the Match awards—the most in the league—and scored against every team in the tournament. She has been nominated alongside teammate Ireen Khumalo and Ascent Academy’s  Leticia Chinyamula for the top prize.

In other award categories, Khumalo will challenge Ascent’s Maureen Kenneth and Civil Women’s Emily Samuel for Best Defender, while Chinyamula faces off against Ntopwa’s Sarah Mlimbika and Wanderers’ Funny Moyo for Best Midfielder.

Henry is also poised to take home the Top Goal Scorer accolade, and Silver Strikers’ Ireen Sibande is the favorite for Best Goalkeeper after keeping the highest number of clean sheets in the league.
