Karonga United Set to Transition into a Company, Appoint New Head Coach

 Karonga United is on the verge of completing all the necessary processes to transform the club into a company.

The club’s Chairperson, Alufeyo Chipanga Banda told Reporters that he is leading the initiative alongside the team’s legal advisor. He assured supporters that full details will be communicated once all formalities are finalized.

Chipanga Banda expressed gratitude to the people of Karonga for their unity and support in embracing the idea of restructuring the club into a company. He described the move as a progressive step aimed at strengthening the team’s management and long-term sustainability.

In another development, Karonga United has appointed Audlow Makonyola as the club’s new head coach. Makonyola replaces Oscar Kaunda , who has since joined Mitundu baptist  as head coach.

If the process is successfully completed, Karonga United will become the first team in Malawi’s Northern Region to be run as a company. The club will join the ranks of corporate-managed teams such as Silver strikers , FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, and Mighty wanderers .
