Kwenaite Tips Scorchers as Dark Horses for WAFCON 🇲🇼

 Malawi women’s national team, the Scorchers, have received a major vote of confidence from football analyst  Thomas Kwenaite ahead of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Speaking on Thursday’s Soccer  Africa program on DStv, hosted by  Thomas Mlambo, analysts were asked to name their favourites to win the tournament. While traditional powerhouses such as Nigeria, South Africa and Ivory Coast dominated most predictions, Kwenaite stood out by backing Malawi as a team to watch.

Kwenaite praised the Scorchers’ quality and depth, singling out star players Tabitha Tabitha Chawinga and Temwa Chawinga, whom he described as world-class talents capable of influencing games at the highest level.

“This team has very good players. I see they will do amazing things,” Kwenaite said, noting that Malawi has the ability to trouble more established sides in the competition.

According to the analyst, the Scorchers possess the potential to make a strong impression and emerge as one of the tournament’s surprise packages.
